The Power of Fair Trade: Innovative Solutions for a Sustainable Future

The WFTO Asia 13th Biennial Asia Fair Trade Summit 2023, an upcoming summit organized by the World Fair Trade Organization – Asia (WFTO Asia) in partnership with its Country Networks in the region is a major event for Fair Trade practitioners, producers, and consumers in the Asia region. It is going to be held in September 2023 via the digital space.

The summit which will be conducted virtually will bring together Fair Trade organizations, businesses, producers, and stakeholders from the different parts of Asia to discuss issues and challenges faced by the Fair Trade Enterprises and the movement in general. As well as to collectively identify opportunities and solutions further to advance the Fair Trade movement in the region. Furthermore, the summit will provide space to share and showcase experiences on cutting-edge practices in Fair Trade innovations. 

Join us for an extraordinary gathering of changemakers, industry experts, and passionate advocates as we explore the transformative potential of Fair Trade in building a sustainable and equitable world.

A series of 7 webinars will be conducted by the WFTO Asia Board in collaboration with Country Networks and identified WFTO member countries in Asia leading to the Summit in September 2023. This will provide space for WFTO members in Asia to learn, openly participate, interact, and network to advance Fair Trade in the region.

Participants will be able to discuss possible scenarios for the future and reflect on what they can do to make the future of Fair Trade a reality.

The first day of the summit will consist of two sessions. The first session will focus on the presentation of the outputs of a webinar series. The presentation will cover various topics including issues and challenges, gaps, recommendations, and resolutions. The second session will be a round table discussion where attendees can participate in discussions related to the Annual General Meeting (AGM) matters.
